K2 Concepts was started quite by accident. Our owner, Jim Urbano, was having a conversation with his friend Steve Engel, owner of FuelATV.com, about how difficult it was to get parts for their new project Suzuki LT-R450's. Both men were planning something to set their bikes apart from the crowd. Carbon fiber seemed to be the material of choice for unique customization BUT to have research, development, molds and finish product seemed beyond anyone’s reach.
Jim was familiar with the problems of getting parts since he had a lifelong history of restoring & racing cars. Determined to set himself apart from the crowd, Jim decided nothing less than a carbon fiber look would do. Calling on his contacts in the automotive industry Jim was quickly on his way to have his parts customized with a carbon fiber look-a-like material.
After posting some pictures on the internet of his current project, the response was at once overwhelming. People were buying parts off his personal bike. Immediately after Jim put together a partnership with the most respected painter in the area, Scott Rogers of Desert Collision Painting, the K2 Concept was born...
K2 Concepts is a company that specializes in the design and application of carbon fiber look for your custom project.
